The Love Affair With Christie Brown Continues...

Oh Christie Brown you've done it again... Those who followed my previous blog will know about my passion for this luxe label but it still bears repeating, this brand is ACE! Christie Brown debuted their latest collection XUTRA at Arise Magazine Fashion Week earlier this year and now we've been treated to a lookbook.
XUTRA like all Christie Brown collections carries that signature touch of modern glamour, but this time round it's darker and sexier. Think sheer tops dusted with sparkles, printed knicker shorts and thigh high split dresses. Black is the colour of choice with flashes of red used in the print design. All very seductive! Where SS12 collection Talensi was an ode to structure and power shapes, XUTRA is distinctively more fluid. Beautifully draped silk dresses take centre stage and strips of printed fabric have been used to great effect to add a sense of movement to dresses and trousers.
As someone who will be an advocate of the baroque trend this winter (more on this later), I am coveting the crushed velvet trousers with the printed side panels. I also adore the plain black silk maxi with the printed collar detail, it's a brilliant update on a classic. What are your thoughts on Christie Brown?
