Leather is always a big trend come winter but this time round, there is more texture play and interesting structures on offer. I am equal parts excited and wary about this as my relationship with leather is one that has been troubled. Most women can pull off a leather jacket, I can not. I dabbled with a little vintage bomber in my late teens and quite frankly I looked like Phil Mitchell's long lost black brother. Leather skirts on the other hand, have always done wonders for my wardrobe so fingers crossed the new season pieces will do the same.
This winter update the classic biker look by opting for a textured patent leather biker jacket as seen at Alexander Wang. Don't be afraid to play with colour especially rich berry tones that lend themselves to the season and suit most skin tones.

If you don't fancy going all out on big leather pieces, then be inspired by Christopher Kane's lace and leather dresses. The leather accents add an edge to ultra feminine lace and are a definite nod to the trend.
Take leather to work with you by channeling Calvin Klein. Opt for leather tops teamed with A-line wool skirts and aim for classic feminine silhouettes in leather like the peplum long sleeve top.
