Duro Olowu For JCPenney

With the snow falling and frost bite nibbling on our toes, you can be forgiven for being over winter and dreaming of summer. While I am enjoying my winter wardrobe, I too long for the warmth of the sun and freshness that spring brings. I also can't wait to update my wardrobe with new pieces from the hottest SS13 collections!
First on the wish list is everything from the Duro Olowu for JCPenney Spring 2013 line. The collection which lands in March is the first designer collaboration for the US retail giant. Nigerian Duro Olowu is not short changing his fans, which include First Lady Michelle Obama and Keira Knightley, as inspiration for this collab came directly from his SS13 Ready To Wear collection.

As always Duro Olowu wows with classic ladylike pieces in playful mixed prints and retro shapes, there is also a selection of accessories and homewares. I am lusting after ALL the dresses but if I had to pick just one, it would be the monochrome print dress with the striped waist and neckline detail. Perfect for afternoon tea with mum or a walk in the park with your mister. I also adore the pale gold tea dress with the ice blue hem, deliciously regal. I can imagine our very own Kate Middleton donning that number to attend a royal engagement.
The collection will be available at JCPenney stores across the US and online at www.jcpenney.com. Good news, they ship internationally. Let me know your thoughts on the collection via Facebook, Twitter or just in the comments below!
