I'm not a fan of winter. Emotionally it has never quite sat right with me. Maybe it's the hot Nigerian blood running through my veins but I only come alive when I can feel the sun on my face. Now that March (my birth month) is here and brings with it spring, I feel a renewed sense of vigour. All the plans I made while in hibernation are beginning to bear fruit and I'm ready to flourish right along with them.

First things first, winter may have worn me down but I did get out a lot of content over the last three months that I am proud of. My collaborative content with Black owned businesses were highlights and I'm looking forward to putting out more content in a similar vein.
March on the blog is going to be all about pressing the refresh button, the usual spring fashions and modern motherhood. I've got some great businesses to introduce you to plus an amazing interview so subscribe to make sure you don't miss out.
Outside of this blog, I also spent a lot of winter planning and fretting and fretting some more about the very first Black British Bloggers event which is scheduled for this summer. Things are developing nicely but as a massive over thinker and recovering perfectionist, I am mostly lying awake wondering if anyone will turn up and what to do in the event of a natural disaster.
I won't say too much about the event just yet because as they say you don't count your chickens until they have hatched. I'm hoping that by the end of the month at the latest I can start sending out save the dates and early bird tickets. If I can pull this off, it may be my greatest achievement to date. NO PRESSURE!
