It's been too long since I brought news of a fabulous up and coming designer, so get ready to be wowed by London based fashion label APRIL2ND. The label prides itself on uncomplicated beautiful clothing that is both luxurious and wearable. Fashion designer Ty Bello launched the label in 2011 and debuted the labels' first collection at the Fashion Finest showcase during London Fashion Week last September.
I love the use of classic tailoring with a touch of playfulness that runs through the entire collection. The half black/half print voluminous top with matching trousers is such a showstopping look. I can imagine queen of cool Tilda Swinton rocking it down the red carpet.
The collection also has a versatility to it that really appeals to me. The printed dresses make for great day to night pieces. The printed green babydoll dress is a personal fave, it has a 90s grunge feel that will be bang on trend this summer. The bodycon snakeskin print dress with the front zip detail is also ticking all the boxes, perfect for a formal evening occasion. I'm still lusting after printed suits so it's no big surprise that I'm all over the multi coloured check print trouser suit with the black contrast sleeves.
You'll be able to get your hands on this collection in a fortnight when it'll hit multiple retailers including ASOS, Fashion Label and Chictopia. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this young label as I foresee great things to come. To see the full collection and find out more about the brand, head over to their website www.april2nd.co.uk.
